J ohn said, “I am the voice of one crying in the desert. ‘Make the road straight for the Lord,’ as the early preacher Isaiah said.”

فَقالَ يُوحَنّا مُسْتَخدِماً كَلِماتِ النَّبِيِّ إشَعْياءَ: «أنا ‹صَوْتُ إنسانٍ يُنادِي فِي البَرِّيَّةِ: اصْنَعُوا طَرِيْقاً مُسْتَقِيْماً لِلرَّبِّ.›»
