H e said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

فَقالَ يُوحَنّا مُسْتَخدِماً كَلِماتِ النَّبِيِّ إشَعْياءَ: «أنا ‹صَوْتُ إنسانٍ يُنادِي فِي البَرِّيَّةِ: اصْنَعُوا طَرِيْقاً مُسْتَقِيْماً لِلرَّبِّ.›»
