O f these, twenty-four thousand were to look after the work of the house of the Lord, six thousand were officers and judges,

وَكانَتْ وَظِيفَةُ أربَعَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ ألفاً مِنْ هَؤُلاءِ الإشْرافَ عَلَى عَمَلِ بَيتِ اللهِ. وَكانَ سِتَّةُ آلافٍ مِنْهُمْ عُرَفاءَ وَقَضاةً.
