O f these, twenty-four thousand were to preside over the work of the house of Jehovah; and six thousand were officers and judges;

وَكانَتْ وَظِيفَةُ أربَعَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ ألفاً مِنْ هَؤُلاءِ الإشْرافَ عَلَى عَمَلِ بَيتِ اللهِ. وَكانَ سِتَّةُ آلافٍ مِنْهُمْ عُرَفاءَ وَقَضاةً.
