U no di essi, che era uscito nei campi per cogliere delle erbe, trovò una pianta rampicante selvatica, da cui raccolse delle coloquintidi, e ne riempí la veste; quindi ritornò e le tagliò a pezzi nella pentola della minestra, benché non sapessero che cosa fossero.

One of them went out into the field to gather plants. He found a wild vine, and gathered wild gourds from it. He came and cut them up in the pot of food, not knowing what they were.
