O ne of them went out into the field to gather plants. He found a wild vine, and gathered wild gourds from it. He came and cut them up in the pot of food, not knowing what they were.

Uno di essi, che era uscito nei campi per cogliere delle erbe, trovò una pianta rampicante selvatica, da cui raccolse delle coloquintidi, e ne riempí la veste; quindi ritornò e le tagliò a pezzi nella pentola della minestra, benché non sapessero che cosa fossero.
