A nnas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came upon John the son of Zachariah in the wilderness.

وَكانَ حَنّانُ وَقِيافا رَئِيْسَيْ كَهَنَةٍ خِلالَ ذَلِكَ الوَقتِ. فَجاءَتْ رِسالَةُ اللهِ إلَى يُوحَنّا بْنِ زَكَرِيّا وَهُوَ فِي البَرِّيَّةِ.
