T ake heed to yourselves lest ye forget the covenant of Jehovah your God, which he made with you, and make yourselves a graven image, the form of anything which Jehovah thy God hath forbidden thee.

Aşadar, vegheaţi asupra voastră şi nu uitaţi legământul Domnului, Dumnezeul vostru, pe care l-a încheiat cu voi. Să nu vă faceţi vreun idol sau orice alt fel de chip pe care Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, v-a interzis să-l faceţi.
