D evoured us, crushed us, hath Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, He hath set us an empty vessel, He hath swallowed us as a dragon, He hath filled his belly with my dainties, He hath driven us away.

“Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has destroyed me, and has crushed me. He has made me like an empty pot. He has eaten me up like a large, angry animal. He has filled his stomach with my good food, and he has washed me away.
