a nd he taketh the robe of Elijah that fell from off him, and smiteth the waters, and saith, `Where Jehovah, God of Elijah -- even He?' and he smiteth the waters, and they are halved, hither and thither, and Elisha passeth over.

Poi prese il mantello di Elia che gli era caduto di dosso, percosse le acque e disse: «Dov'è l'Eterno, il DIO di Elia?». Quando anch'egli ebbe percosso le acque, queste si divisero di qua e di là ed Eliseo passò.
