A simismo todos los judíos que estaban en Moab, entre los hijos de Amón, en Edom, y los que estaban en todas las tierras, cuando oyeron decir que el rey de Babilonia había dejado a algunos en Judá y que había puesto sobre ellos a Gedalías hijo de Ahicam hijo de Safán,

All the Jews in Moab and Ammon and Edom, and in all the other countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left some of the people in Judah. They heard that he had chosen Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to rule over them.
