E ntonces Jehová Dios hizo caer un sueño profundo sobre Adán y, mientras éste dormía, tomó una de sus costillas y cerró la carne en su lugar.

Yahweh God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. As the man slept, he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
