C înd au văzut că aşa stau lucrurile, oamenii din Asdod au zis:,, Chivotul Dumnezeului lui Israel să nu rămînă la noi, căci mîna Lui apasă asupra noastră şi asupra lui Dagon, dumnezeul nostru.``

And the men of Ashdod see that so, and have said, `The ark of the God of Israel doth not abide with us, for hard hath been His hand upon us, and upon Dagon our god.'
