A m luat viţelul pe care -l făcuserăţi, isprava păcatului vostru, l-am ars în foc, l-am sfărîmat pînă s'a făcut praf, şi am aruncat praful acela în pîrîul care curgea din munte.

Then I took your sinful thing, the calf you had made, and burned it with fire and crushed it. I ground it into pieces until it was as fine as dust. And I threw its dust into the river that flowed down from the mountain.
