E ntão Gaal, filho de Ebede, disse: “Quem é Abimeleque para que o sirvamos? E quem é Siquém? Não é ele o filho de Jerubaal, e não é Zebul o seu representante? Sirvam aos homens de Hamor, o pai de Siquém! Por que servir a Abimeleque?

Gaal the son of Ebed said, “Who is Abimelech? And who are we of Shechem, that we should serve him? Is he not the son of Jerubbaal? Is not Zebul his leader? Serve the men of Hamor the father of Shechem, but why should we serve Abimelech?
