“ Longe de mim fazer isso, ó meu Deus!”, disse Davi. “Esta água representa o sangue desses homens que arriscaram a própria vida!” Eles arriscaram a vida para trazê-la. E não quis bebê-la. Foram essas as proezas dos três principais guerreiros.

And he said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing! should I drink the blood of these men at the risk of their lives? for at the risk of their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.
