I onatan însă nu auzise jurământul cu care legase tatăl său oştirea. De aceea el a întins capătul băţului care se afla în mâna lui şi l-a înmuiat în mierea din fagure. Şi-a dus miere cu mâna la gură şi ochii i s-au luminat.
