M a Gionathan non aveva sentito quando suo padre aveva fatto giurare il popolo; perciò stese la punta del bastone che teneva in mano, la intinse nel favo di miele e portò la mano alla bocca; così la sua vista si schiarò.

But Jonathan had not heard when his father adjured the people; and he put forth the end of his staff which was in his hand, and dipped it in the honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth, and his eyes became bright.
