A poi i-a dat legământul circumciziei. Astfel, când i s-a născut Isaac, Avraam l-a circumcis în ziua a opta; apoi Isaac l-a circumcis pe Iacov, şi Iacov pe cei doisprezece patriarhi.

And made with Abraham a covenant (an agreement to be religiously observed) of which circumcision was the seal. And under these circumstances became the father of Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac when he became the father of Jacob, and Jacob, the twelve patriarchs.
