C um a acoperit-o Stăpânul, cu norul mâniei Lui, pe fiica Sionului! A aruncat măreţia lui Israel din cer pe pământ. În ziua mâniei Lui nu Şi-a mai adus aminte de aşternutul picioarelor Sale.

¶ Aleph How has the Lord darkened the daughter of Zion in his anger! He has cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel and not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger!
