D eşi, demult, ţi-am sfărâmat jugul şi ţi-am smuls legăturile, totuşi tu ai zis că nu-Mi vei mai sluji. Pe orice deal înalt şi sub orice copac verde te-ai întins ca o prostituată.

For long ago I broke your yoke and burst your bonds and long ago you shattered the yoke and snapped the bonds; you said, I will not serve and obey You! For upon every high hill and under every green tree you prostrated yourself, playing the harlot.
