G iuda è in esilio, vittima di oppressione e di dura schiavitù; abita fra le nazioni, ma non trova riposo. Tutti i suoi persecutori l’hanno raggiunto mentre si trovava nell’angoscia.

Gimel Judah is gone into captivity because of the affliction and because of the greatness of the servitude; she dwells among the Gentiles; she finds no rest; all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.
