D upă multă asuprire şi muncă grea, Iuda s-a dus în captivitate. Locuieşte printre neamuri şi nu găseşte un loc de odihnă. Toţi prigonitorii lui l-au ajuns chiar în toiul strâmtorării lui.

Gimel Judah is gone into captivity because of the affliction and because of the greatness of the servitude; she dwells among the Gentiles; she finds no rest; all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.
