S o 1, 000 men came from each of the family groups of the thousands of Israel. There were 12, 000 ready for war.

وَهَكَذا تَمَّ حَشدُ ألفِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ كُلِّ عَشِيرَةٍ مِنْ أُلُوفِ إسْرائِيلَ. تَمَّ اختِيارُ اثْنَي عَشَرَ ألفَ جُندِيٍّ لِهَذِهِ الحَملَةِ.
