E lnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah begged the king not to burn the book, but he would not listen to them.

وَمَعْ أنَّ ألْناثانَ وَدَلايا وَجِمَرْيا، تَوَسَّلُوا إلَى المَلِكِ كَي لا يَحرِقَ المَخطُوطَةَ، إلّا أنَّهُ لَمْ يَستَمِعْ إلَيهِمْ.
