I t was the ninth month, and the king was sitting in the winter house with a fire burning in the fireplace in front of him.

وَقَدْ كانَ جالِساً فِي بَيتِ الشِّتاءِ الَّذِي لَهُ، فِي الشَّهرِ التّاسِعِ مِنَ السَّنَةِ، وَكانَ مَوقِدُ النّارِ أمامَهُ مُشتَعِلاً.
