T hey made plans against Amaziah in Jerusalem, and he ran away to Lachish. But they sent men after him to Lachish and killed him there.

وَتَآمَرَ أهلُ القُدسِ عَلَيهِ. فَهَرَبَ إلَى مَدِينَةِ لَخِيشَ. لَكنَّ الشَّعبَ أرسَلُوا رِجالاً إلَى لَخِيشَ، فَقَتَلُوا أمَصْيا هُناكَ.
