S o Saul established his sovereignty over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, against the people of Ammon, against Edom, against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines. Wherever he turned, he harassed them.

După ce a luat Saul domnia peste Israel, a făcut război în toate părţile cu toţi vrăjmaşii lui: cu Moab, cu copiii lui Amon, cu Edom, cu împăraţii din Ţoba, şi cu Filistenii; şi ori încotro se întorcea, era biruitor.
