I , John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

I, John, your brother and companion (sharer and participator) with you in the tribulation and kingdom and patient endurance in Jesus Christ, was on the isle called Patmos, on account of the Word of God and the testimony (the proof, the evidence) for Jesus Christ.
