A nd they made their lives bitter with hard bondage—in mortar, in brick, and in all manner of service in the field. All their service in which they made them serve was with rigor.

e amareggiarono la loro vita con una dura schiavitú, nei lavori d'argilla e di mattoni e in ogni sorta di lavori nei campi. Li obbligavano a fare tutti questi lavori con asprezza.
