B ut the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel.

وَبِالرُّغْمِ مِنْ مُضايِقَةِ المِصرِيِّينَ لَهُمْ كانُوا يَتَكاثَرُونَ وَيَزدادُونَ. فَصارَ المِصرِيُّونَ يَخافُونَ بَني إسْرائِيلَ.
