B ut the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew, so much that they loathed the sons of Israel.

وَبِالرُّغْمِ مِنْ مُضايِقَةِ المِصرِيِّينَ لَهُمْ كانُوا يَتَكاثَرُونَ وَيَزدادُونَ. فَصارَ المِصرِيُّونَ يَخافُونَ بَني إسْرائِيلَ.
