B ut the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.

وَبِالرُّغْمِ مِنْ مُضايِقَةِ المِصرِيِّينَ لَهُمْ كانُوا يَتَكاثَرُونَ وَيَزدادُونَ. فَصارَ المِصرِيُّونَ يَخافُونَ بَني إسْرائِيلَ.
