T hus says the Lord, “For three transgressions of Damascus and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because they threshed Gilead with implements of sharp iron.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Damascus and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they have threshed Gilead with iron sledges.
