2 Mose 3:1 ~ Exodus 3:1

M ose aber hütete die Schafe Jethros, seines Schwiegervaters, des Priesters in Midian, und trieb die Schafe hinter die Wüste und kam an den Berg Gottes, Horeb.

Now Moses was taking care of the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the religious leader of Midian. He led the flock to the west side of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
