G iosuè intanto mandò uomini da Gerico ad Ai, che è vicina a Beth-Aven a est di Bethel, e disse loro: «Salite ad esplorare il paese». Così gli uomini salirono ad esplorare Ai.

Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth-aven, east of Bethel. He said to them, “Go and spy out the land in secret.” So the men went and spied out Ai.
