F ece anche passare i suoi figli attraverso il fuoco nella valle del figlio di Hinnom; praticò la magia, la divinazione e la stregoneria, e consultò i medium e i maghi. Si diede interamente a fare ciò che è male agli occhi dell'Eterno, provocandolo ad ira.

And he burned his children as an offering in the Valley of Ben-hinnom, and practiced soothsaying, augury, and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and wizards. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger.
