A nd the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.

وَانضَمَّ إلَيْهِمُ النّاسُ فِي الهُجُومِ عَلَيهِما. فَمَزَّقَ القُضاةُ ثِيابَ بُولُسَ وَسِيلا، وَأمَرُوا بِضَرْبِهِما بِالعِصِيِّ.
