F or the Lord shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the Lord to anger.

Domnul îl va lovi pe Israel şi astfel el va fi ca o trestie care se clatină în apă. El îl va dezrădăcina pe Israel din această ţară bună, pe care le-o dăduse strămoşilor lor şi-i va împrăştia dincolo de râu, pentru că şi-au făcut aşere, mâniindu-L pe Domnul.
