F or the Lord shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the Lord to anger.

El Señor, pues, herirá a Israel, como se agita una caña en el agua, y El arrancará a Israel de esta buena tierra que dio a sus padres, y los esparcirá más allá del río Eufrates, porque han hecho sus Aseras, provocando a ira al Señor.
