A nd thou shalt remember all the way by which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness to afflict thee and to prove thee to know what was in thine heart, whether thou would keep his commandments, or not.

Souviens-toi de tout le chemin que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, t'a fait faire pendant ces quarante années dans le désert, afin de l'humilier et de t'éprouver, pour savoir quelles étaient les dispositions de ton coeur et si tu garderais ou non ses commandements.
