A nd Saul chose him three thousand men out of Israel: there were with Saul two thousand in Michmash and in mount Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin; and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.

Saul si scelse tremila uomini d’Israele: duemila stavano con lui a Micmas e sul monte di Betel e mille con Gionatan a Ghibea di Beniamino; rimandò invece il resto del popolo ognuno alla sua tenda.
