A nd their inhabitants were powerless, they were dismayed and put to shame; they were the grass of the field and the green herb, the grass on the housetops, and grain blighted before it be grown up.
بَينَما شَعبُها الضُّعِيفُ مُرتَعِبٌ وَمُرتَبِكٌ مِثلَ أعشابٍ فِي الحَقلِ وَمِثلَ حَشِيشٍ أخضَرَ، مِثلَ عُشبٍ عَلَى سُطُوحِ المَنازِلِ، تُحرِقُهُ الرِّياحُ الشَّرْقِيَّةُ.
