A nd their inhabitants were powerless, they were dismayed and put to shame; they were the grass of the field and the green herb, the grass on the housetops, and grain blighted before it be grown up.

Os seus habitantes, já sem forças, desanimam-se envergonhados. São como pastagens, como brotos tenros e verdes, como capim no terraço, queimado antes de crescer.
