Т огава взеха Еремия та го хвърлиха в ямата на царския син Мелхия, която бе в двора на стражата; и спуснаха Еремия с въжета. И в ямата нямаше вода, но тиня; и Еремия затъна в тинята.

So they took Jeremiah and cast him into the dungeon or cistern pit of Malchiah the king’s son, which was in the court of the guard; and they let Jeremiah down with ropes. And in the dungeon or cistern pit there was no water, but only mire, and Jeremiah sank in the mire.
