b ut it shall be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we may do the service of Jehovah before him with our burnt-offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace-offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no portion in Jehovah.

ma perché serva come testimone fra noi e voi e fra i nostri discendenti dopo di noi. affinché possiamo compiere il servizio dell'Eterno davanti a lui. con i nostri olocausti, con i nostri sacrifici e con le nostre offerte di ringraziamento affinché i vostri discendenti non abbiano un giorno a dire ai nostri discendenti: Voi non avete parte alcuna nell'Eterno".
