F or the law having a shadow of the good things to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh.

Legea are doar o umbră a lucrurilor bune care urmează să vină, nu înfăţişarea propriu-zisă a lucrurilor. De aceea, ea nu poate niciodată, prin aceleaşi jertfe, care sunt aduse an de an, să-i desăvârşească pe cei care se apropie.
