R ejoice not, O Israel, with exultation as do the peoples, for you have played the harlot, forsaking your God. You have loved hire upon every threshing floor.

يا أُمَّةَ إسْرائِيلَ، لا تَفرَحِي كَثِيراً كَالأُمَمِ الأُخرَى، وَذَلِكَ لأنَّكِ زَنَيتِ مُبتَعِدَةً عِن إلَهِكِ، وَقَد استَمتَعتِ بِإيفاءِ نُذُورِكِ للآلِهَةِ المُزَيَّفَةِ فِي كُلِّ بَيدَرِ قَمحٍ.
