T here are certain Jews whom you have appointed and set over the affairs of the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, pay no attention to you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up.

Dar sunt nişte iudei, pe care i-ai numit în slujba de administratori ai provinciei Babilonului, şi anume Şadrak, Meşak şi Abed-Nego, oameni care nu ţin seama deloc de tine, împărate! Ei nu slujesc zeilor tăi şi nu se închină statuii de aur pe care ai ridicat-o.“
