T here are certain Jews whom you have appointed and set over the affairs of the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, pay no attention to you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up.

Or ci sono alcuni Giudei che hai preposto all'amministrazione degli affari della provincia di Babilonia, Shadrak, Meshak e Abed-nego, che non prestano alcuna considerazione a te, non servono i tuoi dèi e non adorano l'immagine d'oro che hai fatto erigere».
